The Virtual and Realistic Journey of Digital Human: An Assemblage of Urban Communication
Artificial intelligence technology provides conditions for the development, improvement, and promotion of digital humans. As a hot spot in current social media, digital humans have formed a continuously changing but relatively stable urban assemblage with elements such as urban image architecture, urban cultural communication, and urban image in social platforms. From the assemblage perspective, this paper analyzes the content of virtual people and urban culture communication in social media though assemblage ethnography. These materials show that in the social environment of rapid development and change of new technology, active use of new technology and new media platforms is conducive to the dissemination and development of traditional culture, while increasing the attraction to young audiences and building a dynamic urban imagination. It also emphasizes the importance of paying attention to the interaction between humans and non-humans and breaking the boundary between virtual and reality in the ever-changing social environment.

Research on the Advantages of Short Video and the Way to Revive Long Video
Short video is one of the fastest growing industries at present, and the spread of short video on social media is very large. Long videos not only provide more selectivity, but also change the way humans watch videos. However, in the face of massive content competition, it becomes more difficult to attract viewers, leading to more people choosing to watch short videos. This paper explores the advantages of short video in modern communication, and proposes the revival of long video. Short videos are popular for their concise and clear features, which grab viewers' attention in a fast-paced society. They are easily shared and disseminated across various platforms, expanding the reach of information. Moreover, short videos provide a rich audio-visual experience, making communication more lively and interesting. On the other hand, long videos face challenges such as the dominance of short video platforms, rising membership fees, and copyright restrictions. To revive long videos, platforms can open up copyrights, reduce fees, and improve member benefits. Creators should focus on producing premium content with appealing themes, while the government can promote the import of foreign films to enrich viewing options. Viewers can use their free time to watch long-form videos in theaters or on TV. By addressing these challenges and promoting quality content, long-form videos can thrive alongside short-form videos in the modern media landscape.

Three Quadrant Being: A New Analysis on Human Condition
Article thumbnail
The question of human existence and the meaning of life has been a topic of debate for generations. This paper presents the "Three Quadrant Model" as a new approach to understanding the human condition: the temporal, the absurd, and the meaningful states of being. These reflect three phases where humans may live within societal structures, recognize the inherent absurdity of existence, and create their own sense of meaning, respectively. While examining some investigated existential literature and historical philosophical perspectives, the research asserts that humans jump back and forth among these states rather than progressing linearly, as stated by Nietzsche’s three metamorphoses. The three states are characterized by equality, ambiguity, universality, and subjectivity. Ultimately, the model suggests that the quest for life's meaning is subjective, and that no single state is inherently superior to others. The study calls for further exploration into the logical foundations and practical applications of this model.

Study of the Development of American Feminism (1790-1990): Three Waves and Interaction with Racial Equality Movement
Since the birth of feminism, it has been committed to pushing for transforming the inequality state between males and females. American feminism achieved incredible achievements within the last three centuries, not only legislatively, but also ideologically. Meanwhile, the feminism of America and another one of the most essential social group that struggled for their own rights of egalitarianism -- African Americans--have been influenced by one another, making progresses in separate or communal interests. This paper will use literature and case analysis to focus on three waves of the development of American feminism and some important interactions between feminism and the racial equality movement, which aims to find out the differences and evolving factors in three stages of American feminism development and analyze whether positive or negative impacts weigh more when racial equality movement interacted with feminism movement. The result of the research is that the first wave of American feminism was liberal feminism with a significant symbol of gaining female suffrage; the second wave of American feminism was more radical and far more concerned with issues of class and race; the third wave of America feminism was less characterized by a specific political agenda and more of a culture revolution. Furthermore, it could be beneficial for both of them when American Feminism cooperates properly with the racial equality movement.

The Impact of Online Media Development, and Information Dissemination on LGBTQ Marginalised People
The purpose of this topic is to study the positive and negative impacts of the internet and media on LGBTQ people. This is because, with China's rapid development, the speed and breadth of information dissemination in social platforms and media is increasing. More and more sexual minority young people are participating in discussions on social media, sharing their lives, gender identity, and sexual orientation, and expressing their views and opinions. However, the fact that the phenomenon of verbal violence continues to affect the LGBTQ community while providing vulnerable groups with access to information, knowledge, resources and empowerment cannot be ignored. This study conducted interviews with a random sample of LGBTQ people in different regions of China in order to analyse the positive and negative messages about LGBTQ people on the internet from a more humane perspective. The results of the interviews also illustrate the harm caused by verbal harassment and violence to the LGBTQ community. Some LGBTQ people, when faced with such unequal treatment, will rise and fight back, expressing their dissatisfaction and fighting for their rights through self-empowerment in the form of words or behaviours. The dominant mindset is to avoid such harm and discuss and entertain it in their social communities.

The Impact of Social Integration Factors on the Residency Intention of Young College Students
This study utilizes data from the 2017 National Dynamic Monitoring Survey of Floating Population to select young college students and establish a binary logistic regression model to explore the impact of social integration factors on the residency intention of young college students. Furthermore, an exploratory analysis is conducted on young college students in the intention stage. The study shows that 58.82% of young college students have a long-term residency intention. The higher the level of economic integration, institutional matching, cultural integration, social participation, and psychological identification, the greater the likelihood of their willingness to reside long-term. The key factor influencing the residency choice of young college students in the intention stage is the family’s monthly income. In order to retain young college students with higher human capital and lay the foundation for high-quality and sustainable urban development, relevant policies should be implemented to increase their income, enhance job stability, and provide them with humanistic care and opportunities for social participation.

Promoting Gender Equity in the Workspace: An Analysis of Gender Disparity, Societal Support and Systematic Solutions
Article thumbnail
Gender equity is a long-standing global goal within the workplace, yet disparity persists, particularly in terms of pay gap. This research aims to comprehensively analyze gender disparities in the US workplace. Despite the progress in granting women rights in other areas, such as voting rights, a significant wage gap still shows the ongoing gender disparity in the workplace. Through literature review, data collection and analysis on the current circumstances of wage gap in the US workplace, we identified several significant factors that could lead to further disparity, explored potential role of social discrimination behind these observations, and ultimately outlined a more systematic approach to addressing the prevailing gender inequality. By implementing these solutions, the gender disparity within the workplace can be substantially reduced.

Urban Network Hotspot Consumption Space Evolution Mechanism and Crowd Differentiation Analysis: A Case Study of Lushan South Road in Changsha City
Article thumbnail
With the prosperity of the tourism industry, foreign tourists and local university students have become the main users of the university town space. The two groups have a high degree of behavioral overlap but differ in motivation due to different psychological needs. Research on urban network hotspot space needs more exploration of small-scale road sections and coverage of spatial boundary perception, social media, and other factors in space formation and evolution mechanisms. Therefore, this study will take the consumption space with the strongest interweaving of the two groups as the starting point to explore the countermeasures for spatial boundary perception with the theoretical support of scene theory. It was found that various factors such as social media, tourist experience-oriented consumption psychology, and the perception of spatial boundaries by both tourists and students influenced the drastic change in urban hotspot consumption space. This study provides some reference for understanding and guiding the development of such areas.
